Job Description
EverStaff is actively seeking an Accounting Specialist to contribute to the day-to-day operations of our client’s Accounting and Finance department. This is a full-time position that directly reports to the Managing Director of Finance.

- Perform comprehensive accounting tasks for daily operations, with a focus on investment activities.
- Compile periodic financial reports for endowment funds, charitable trusts, and supporting foundations.
- Generate reports for presentation to foundation trustees and internal financials for quarterly reports mandated by banks.
- Prepare schedules for year-end consolidation and develop footnotes for external audits.
- Provide support for tax preparation, including the preparation of tax returns.
- Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications, Education, Training, and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting.
- Over 2 years of hands-on accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and exercise independent judgment.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA eligible.
- Previous experience in public accounting as an auditor or in an accounting role within a non-profit organization.
- Familiarity with tax return preparation, especially Form 990.
