Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Cash Application Associate to join a direct hire opportunity in the Beachwood area. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately applying cash receipts to customer accounts, resolving payment discrepancies, and ensuring timely and efficient processing of cash transactions.
 
This is a full time in office position, M-F

Salary: $45 - $55k
 
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately apply cash receipts to customer accounts, including checks, wire transfers, and credit card payments.
  • Reconcile and process daily bank deposits.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies, working closely with the accounts receivable team and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of cash applications and related transactions.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve any cash application issues or inquiries.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly cash application reports.
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-volume transactions.
