Job Description
Responsible for implementation, maintenance, and on-going improvement of Information Systems and related processes. Ensures that Information System users receive proper support and training.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Installs and Configures Hardware and Software: Responsible for deploying new hardware (PCs, printers, scanners, etc.) and desktop software, including updates, patches, and fixes.
- Provides Technical Support: Offers assistance to system users by resolving issues related to hardware and software, ensuring smooth operation of equipment and applications.
- Service Desk Management: Handles incoming service desk requests, troubleshooting issues or directing them to the appropriate department.
- Real-Time Service Desk Updates: Ensures all service desk tickets are promptly updated with relevant details in real-time as new issues arise and are addressed.
- Maintains Core IT Infrastructure: Performs essential tasks to ensure the functionality of the mainframe system, LAN, WAN, and on-site specialized network servers.
- Collaborates with Users for System Improvements: Works with system users to evaluate current workflows, identify challenges, and gather requirements to develop or coordinate solutions.
- Training and Support: Coordinates or provides training for staff on system hardware and software usage, both initially and on an ongoing basis.
- Documentation and Instructions: Creates and maintains clear, detailed documentation for both current and future system applications.
- Supports Key Applications: Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots key applications, including the Order Communications (OC) system, Radiology Information System (RIS), and Image Document Scanning (IMS) application. Provides relevant training as needed.
- Telecommunications Support: Assists with the management and troubleshooting of the telecommunications systems.
- Cross-Training: Trained as an Information Services Analyst to handle various responsibilities across the department.
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Stays updated on federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring adherence to laws, Joint Commission standards, and other external/internal requirements. Advises management on compliance actions.
- Protects Patient Information: Maintains the confidentiality of patient data in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and policies, ensuring appropriate access and use of information as per job responsibilities.
- Corporate Compliance: Follows corporate compliance policies, seeking additional training and guidance as necessary, and reports any violations in line with organizational standards.
- Professional Conduct: Arrives on time for work and adheres to scheduled break times, maintaining a professional environment by minimizing personal conversations and phone calls during work hours.
- Travel Requirements: Primarily local travel during business hours, with occasional out-of-area or overnight travel as required.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Information Systems or related field
- Relevant work experience can replace traditional education requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with various contacts
- Ability to prioritize work and meet completion deadlines
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and requirements
- Ability to interact and train staff members with various levels of computer skills
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot complex computer issues
- 1+ year providing basic computer support in a corporate environment
