Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join a well-established company. This role provides essential support to the Accounting Department, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and invoicing, while assisting on special accounting projects.
 
Pay: $20.00-$25.00/hr
Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: In-person

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
  • Accurately process and post customer payments to the ledger.
  • Collaborate with branch locations to adjust credit limits, pricing, and account details.
  • Process credit card transactions and follow up on past-due accounts.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers and internal teams.
  • Track and maintain spreadsheets and databases to support reporting.
Accounts Payable
  • Review, verify, and process supplier invoices in the ERP system.
  • Reconcile accounts payable balances and assist with weekly check runs.
  • Maintain organized records and collaborate with internal teams.
Invoicing
  • Process customer invoices through online billing portals.
  • Monitor payment updates and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare customized reports and spreadsheets for internal and customer use.
 
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, or accounts payable.
  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of fair credit practices and collections regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. ERP experience preferred.
