We are seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our client as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). If you have a heart for helping others and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, this is the job for you. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in providing hands-on support, promoting independence, and enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
 
Position Details:
  • Direct Hire Opportunity
  • Pay: $17-$18
  • Schedule: 6am-2:30pm, 2pm-10:30pm, and 10pm-8am shifts available
  • Must be able to work rotating weekends
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals in daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, dressing, and medication administration
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment that promotes independence and self-advocacy
  • Build meaningful relationships and encourage community involvement, social interaction, and recreational activities
  • Assist individuals with achieving their personal goals and advocate for their choices and needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports on individual progress and incidents
  • Support behavior management plans and encourage positive behavior
  • Work collaboratively with team members, families, and other care professionals to ensure high-quality support
  • Communicate with empathy, patience, and respect at all times
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Previous experience in caregiving, social work, or related fields is a plus but not required—a passion for helping people is essential
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if transportation is required)
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Dependable, patient, and motivated to make a difference in someone’s life
