Job Title: Engineering Manager
Shift:  1st
 Pay Rate: $120,000/yr. - $130,000/yr.
 
Position Summary:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Engineering department. This position ensures that customer delivery requirements, plant production schedules, and operating budgets are achieved. The Engineering Manager directs the design team, manages project execution, and collaborates with internal departments to support organizational goals, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective leadership to ensure customer delivery requirements, production schedules, and budget objectives are met.
  • Direct and oversee engineering projects and provide strategic guidance to the Engineering team.
  • Lead the Design team, manage workload distribution, and support sales and production goals.
  • Represent the company during ASME Section VIII Boiler and Pressure Vessel code compliance and certification audits.
  • Review customer specifications and final drawings, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed 2D and 3D drawings and technical specifications.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies and optimize internal engineering processes.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Production Management, and Materials teams to support production schedules.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in engineering processes and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design using SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics and piping design.
  • Expertise in ASME Section VIII Boiler and Pressure Vessel code compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasional climbing of ladders may be required.
Work Environment:
  • Primarily office environment with periodic work in warehouse and shop floor areas.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and high-traffic conditions during shop floor visits.
