Job Description
Everstaff is seeking a Probate & Succession Planning Paralegal for a reputable firm in the Troy, MI area!
Salary: $65,000/yr
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to attorneys and paralegals, the legal assistant assumes responsibility for offering administrative and clerical assistance to the Estate and Succession Planning Practice Group. Tasks encompass preparing estate planning paperwork, probate pleadings, updating client binders, drafting correspondence, and distributing documents to clients.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and manage digital client files in compliance with legal standards and Firm policies.
- Support in managing client matters.
- Draft various legal documents such as probate estate administration pleadings, wills, trusts, deeds, powers of attorney, and other estate planning materials.
- Correspond with clients, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries.
- Organize attorney schedules by arranging conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
- Record and manage attorney reimbursable expenses.
- Aid in client billing tasks.
- Undertake additional responsibilities within the job classification as assigned.
- Uphold client confidentiality by safeguarding attorney/client information.
- Scan and archive monthly bank and financial statements by year.
