Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Family Law Paralegal for our client in Fort Worth! The ideal candidate will have experience in family law, with a strong understanding of the legal processes involved in cases such as divorce, child custody, alimony, and property division. 

Salary:
  • $70,000-$85,000
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for court hearings, trials, and depositions.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for family law cases.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and updated.
  • Coordinate and manage client communication, including scheduling meetings, answering inquiries, and providing updates on case status.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial affidavits, child support worksheets, and other financial documentation.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of legal documents to courts and opposing counsel.
  • Support attorneys in the mediation and settlement process, including preparing settlement agreements and child custody arrangements.
  • Conduct interviews with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather case information.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, timekeeping, and maintaining attorney calendars.
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on family law.
  • Strong understanding of family law procedures, regulations, and court rules.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
