Material Handler : Overhead Crane & Towmotor (1st Shift)
Location : Wickliffe, OH
Shift : 1st Shift | Monday–Friday
Pay Rate : $17.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler with hands-on experience operating overhead cranes and tow motors (forklifts). This role supports daily production and shipping operations by moving raw materials, finished goods, and equipment efficiently and safely throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position materials safely
  • Operate tow motors/forklifts (sit-down and/or stand-up)
  • Load and unload trucks and internal workstations
  • Stage materials for production and shipping
  • Perform material movement per work orders and production schedules
  • Conduct basic equipment inspections and report safety or mechanical issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety standards

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating overhead cranes (required)
  • Forklift/tow motor experience (certification preferred)
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and load handling
  • Ability to read work orders, labels, and basic instructions
  • Basic math and inventory handling skills
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Experience Requirements
  • 1–3+ years of material handling experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Experience handling steel, sheet metal, or heavy materials is a plus
  • Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and staging processes preferred

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand, walk, bend, and operate equipment for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment
