Job Description

We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Office Administrator with HR and Payroll experience for our client in Akron. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of office administration, human resources practices, and payroll management.

Position Details:
  • Salary: $20-$30/hour
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
  • Temp to hire
Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Handle general office correspondence, including phone calls, emails, and mail.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized office environment.
  • Assist in recruitment processes, including job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees.
  • Assist with employee relations issues and provide support as needed.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and answer employee queries regarding benefits.
  • Process payroll accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Handle payroll-related queries and issues from employees.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Office Administrator, HR Assistant, or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of office management procedures and basic accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with HR functions and best practices.
  • Experience with payroll software and processing.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
