Technology & Education Coordinator/Trainer
Location: Houston, Tx or Baton Rouge, La
In Office position
Travel: Occasional overnight travel to regional offices
Salary:  $80,000 to $100,000 DOE

An established professional services organization is seeking a Technology & Education Coordinator to support firmwide technology adoption and provide ongoing education for staff and leadership. This position focuses on empowering employees to make the most of available tools through engaging, accessible, and practical training.

The ideal candidate has a background in corporate or professional services training, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others succeed with technology.

Position Summary
This role is responsible for planning and conducting technology training for new and existing team members, both in person and remotely. The Specialist will design customized learning materials, oversee onboarding programs, and collaborate with IT and leadership to support technology rollouts and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and facilitate technology training sessions tailored to varying experience levels—delivered via classroom, virtual, and one-on-one formats.
  • Create and maintain instructional content such as user manuals, job aids, tip sheets, recorded tutorials, and quick reference guides.
  • Lead new hire technology onboarding, including system introductions and follow-up learning sessions.
  • Conduct training on productivity and collaboration platforms including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive) and document management systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and administrative teams to identify training needs, set priorities, and build targeted learning plans.
  • Manage class scheduling, attendance tracking, and progress reporting through the organization’s learning management system.
  • Assist in the implementation of new software and systems—supporting testing, documentation, and end-user education.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to users, addressing technical questions and reinforcing best practices.
  • Track engagement, collect feedback, and prepare reports on training outcomes and technology adoption.
  • Participate in cross-department initiatives and special projects related to technology or process improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 5+ years of experience designing and delivering corporate training programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications and strong general technology literacy.
  • Experience with document management or workflow systems a plus.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Experience developing e-learning content using tools such as Camtasia or comparable platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams across departments and at all professional levels.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for in-person training sessions at regional locations.
  • Prior experience in a law firm, accounting, or other professional services environment is helpful but not required.
