Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in the Cleveland area, is seeking a skilled Grinder / Precision Grinding Operator to support machining operations. This role is responsible for operating precision grinding equipment to machine metal components to exact specifications and tight tolerances. The position requires experience working in a machining or manufacturing environment, the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and proficiency with precision measuring tools. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively within a production team to maintain efficient manufacturing operations.
Shift: 1st
Pay Rate: $45,000/yr. - $55,000/yr.
Summary Highlights
- Operate precision grinding equipment to machine metal components to tight tolerances
- Perform machine setup, tooling adjustments, and fixture alignment for production runs
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Conduct quality inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and surface finish
- Monitor machine performance and make production adjustments to maintain specifications
- Maintain high quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure operational efficiency
- Experience machining industrial metals such as cast iron, stainless steel, and bronze (preferred)
