Job Description

We are searching for an Insurance Defense Paralegal for our client in Princeton. You will be responsible for supporting attorneys in managing litigation files, preparing legal documents, and coordinating case activity for insurance defense matters.

Position Details:
  • Salary: $60,000-$80,000
  • Hybrid – 1 day a week remote
  • Direct Hire Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of insurance defense litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Review, organize, and summarize medical records, claim files, deposition transcripts, and other case materials.
  • Draft pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, correspondence, and settlement documents.
  • Coordinate scheduling of depositions, hearings, IMEs, and meetings with clients, experts, and witnesses.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case files, calendars, and litigation deadlines.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries or chronologies as needed.
  • Communicate with clients, claims adjusters, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit binders, witness lists, and document organization.

Qualifications
  • Paralegal certificate or associate/bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in insurance defense, civil litigation, or related legal practice.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and document formatting.
  • Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
