Litigation Attorney – Offshore Energy & Maritime Practice (Partnership Track or Staff Attorney)
Location: New Orleans, LA
Salary Range: $125,000 – $185,000+ annually (commensurate with experience and position level)
EverStaff has partnered with a prominent regional law firm with a strong presence across Louisiana and Texas. The firm is currently seeking a talented Litigation Attorney to join its Offshore Energy and Marine Litigation practice group in the New Orleans office. This position offers the flexibility of either a Partnership Track Attorney or a Reduced-Hour Staff Attorney, depending on the candidate’s preferences and qualifications.
This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with at least 3 years of litigation experience to contribute to a high-level practice focused on maritime, offshore energy, environmental, and civil litigation. Candidates with previous experience in offshore maritime matters will be given strong consideration.
Responsibilities:
Manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
Handle court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials independently.
Represent clients in matters involving maritime disputes, personal injury, property damage, and marine environmental issues.
Advise on shipping regulations, marine insurance, offshore operations, and energy-related litigation.
Serve as a direct point of contact for clients; provide timely and strategic updates.
Collaborate with partners and team members while contributing to the growth and reputation of the practice group.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a preference for offshore energy or maritime law exposure.
Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.
Strong written, verbal, and advocacy skills with the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
A proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated client service mindset and the desire to grow long-term client and referral relationships.
