Job Description

EverStaff, a specialized recruiting firm, is actively searching for potential candidates for Direct Hire positions with one of our top clients. These positions entail direct employment with the client that offers exceptional work culture, benefits, PTO, and growth potential.

Job Title: Material Handler (2nd Shift)
Location: Valley City
Pay Rate:  $20.00/hr. - $21.00/hr.

Responsibilities:
  • Locate the correct bundles of bars for each work order.
  • Move bars to different locations and machines for processing.
  • Load and unload bars from trucks.
  • Load bars into cardboard tubes.
  • Band and/or box bars in preparation for shipping.
  • Oil bars to prevent rust.
  • Follow all directions on work orders.
  • Fill out time tickets and work orders accurately.
  • Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a material handler or in a similar role preferred.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment including side loader, overhead crane, pneumatic banding gun, and step ladder.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic math skills for inventory tracking and completion of paperwork.
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift hours.
