Litigation Paralegal – Insurance Defense / Medical Malpractice
Full-Time

A well-established, high-performing litigation team is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in insurance defense and medical malpractice. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases while supporting attorneys in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage case files and support attorneys through all phases of litigation
  • Obtain, review, and organize client documents, including electronic data and records
  • Prepare and manage document production, including bates labeling and redactions
  • Summarize medical records and bills; prepare medical chronologies and case summaries
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, subpoenas, and evidentiary materials
  • Conduct legal and background research using online and internal resources
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses, including selection, communication, and file review
  • Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and third parties
  • Review and process vendor invoices and support case-related administrative functions
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with insurance defense required
  • Medical malpractice experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, document production, and trial preparation
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Paralegal certificate or degree preferred; relevant certifications a plus
