EverStaff is seeking a positive and highly motivated Billing Specialist to join our client’s team. This role is ideal for candidates with some billing experience who are looking to grow their expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
 
Direct-Hire Opportunity
Shift: Monday – Friday; flexible first shift schedule
Pay: $17-$19/hr

Responsibilities:
  • Perform in-depth analysis of accounts receivable denials and claim submissions.
  • Contact insurance providers to verify patient eligibility.
  • Follow-up to resolve outstanding accounts receivable balances.
  • Draft appeals for denied claims.
  • Stay informed about commercial insurance policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, including appeals, reviews, ICD-10, and CPT coding.
  • Communicate potential issues and concerns to the supervisor to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement processing.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Familiarity with home medical equipment products, services, and payer source guidelines is preferred.
