Payment Poster

Everstaff is seeking a Payment Posted for a reputable and growing company in the Avon Lake area!

Responsibilities:

- Accurately post payments received from patients and insurance companies
- Review and reconcile payment batches to ensure accuracy
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues with posted payments
- Update patient accounts with payment information and adjustments
- Prepare and submit reports on payment posting activities
- Collaborate with billing and collections teams to ensure timely and accurate payment processing
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Skills:

- Proficiency in medical coding, including ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG coding systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with medical office operations and workflows
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with medical collections and understanding of insurance billing processes is a plus
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
