Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Injury Attorney for our client in Dayton! The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling personal injury cases and will be dedicated to representing clients who have been injured due to negligence or misconduct. The attorney will be responsible for managing a full caseload, developing legal strategies, negotiating settlements, and, when necessary, representing clients in court.

Salary: $80,000-$100,000 plus bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of personal injury claims from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to gather evidence, medical records, witness statements, and other relevant documents.
  • Draft and file necessary legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies, opposing counsel, and other parties to achieve favorable settlements for clients.
  • Represent clients in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court trials as required.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on case progress, legal rights, and options.
  • Work with expert witnesses, including medical professionals, accident reconstructionists, and economists.
  • Maintain client files and case management in an organized, timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure high-quality case management and legal representation.
 
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Ohio.
  • 3+ years of experience in personal injury law or litigation.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases with strict deadlines.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex legal and medical documents.
  • Courtroom experience and trial advocacy skills are preferred.
  
Skills & Competencies:
  • Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
  • Client-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software (Clio, LexisNexis, Westlaw, etc.).
  • Strong ethical judgment and professional conduct.
