Job Description

We are searching for a Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Attorney for our client in Princeton, NJ. You will be responsible for managing and resolving PIP claims on behalf of the company, ensuring compliance with state laws, policy provisions, and internal guidelines.

Position Details:
  • Salary: $100,000-$160,000
  • Hybrid – 1 day a week remote
  • Direct Hire Opportunity
  • Sign On Bonus

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate PIP claims, medical documentation, and billing records to determine coverage and liability.
  • Provide legal advice to claims adjusters regarding claim strategy, statutory requirements, and risk assessment.
  • Represent the company in litigation, arbitration, depositions, and settlement negotiations related to PIP matters.
  • Identify potential fraud indicators and collaborate with Special Investigations Units (SIU) when appropriate.
  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and reporting in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitor changes in PIP laws and regulations and advise internal teams on compliance updates.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments, outside counsel, and medical providers to resolve claims efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active state bar license required.
  • Experience in personal injury protection, insurance defense, or medical billing litigation preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, litigation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations, PIP statutes, and medical terminology is a plus.
