Job Title: Production Painter
Job Type: Full-time
Hours:  Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location: Camarillo, CA

Description: We are currently seeking a skilled Production Painter to join our team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Painter will be responsible for painting products and parts in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistent quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform painting of parts within the production department.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of products as needed.
  • Carry out various shop duties as assigned.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at all times.

Painting Responsibilities:
  • Paint products and parts, ensuring color matching by mixing paint when required.
  • Maintain correct paint consistency or viscosity required for spraying.
  • Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, removing old finish, and masking.
  • Utilize spray gun for painting tasks.
  • Collaborate with the QC department and Production Manager to ensure paint finish meets quality standards.
  • Adhere to required protection equipment and follow Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Ensure proper product identification and traceability within the department.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
  • Record used material logs and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Conduct maintenance on paint booth and equipment within the finish department or as directed.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in using mechanical tools such as Allen wrenches, hand drills, and wire cutters, as well as soldering ironing.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in painting and finishing.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
