Quality Inspector / Quality Technician
Location: Cuyahoga Falls, OH
 Shift: 1st Shift
 Pay Rate: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
 
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector / Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that all hardware, modified components, and machine parts meet required commercial standards and customer specifications. This role performs inspections at all stages of production while also supporting quality system development, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong technical inspection skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to long-term employment.
While we prefer a highly skilled quality professional, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong fundamentals, reliability, and a stable work history.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of hardware, modified hardware, and machined components
  • Verify product conformance to blueprints, specifications, GD&T, and quality standards
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain detailed quality records
  • Clearly identify and mark parts for acceptance or rejection
  • Assist with non-conformance documentation, root cause investigation, and corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans, work instructions, and sampling plans
  • Train and support other inspectors as needed under the direction of the Director of Quality
  • Ensure compliance with customer, commercial, and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate inspection results and quality concerns with production, engineering, and external parties when necessary
  • Serve as a technical resource for complex inspections and measurement methods
 
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documentation, and GD&T
  • Proficiency using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Experience documenting inspection results and maintaining quality records
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Quality Inspector or Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using Optical CMM equipment, specifically QVI Sprint MVP 300, strongly preferred
  • Quality-related certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Technician)
  • Ability to work independently and make informed quality decisions
 
Additional Expectations
  • Stable work history is required; candidates should demonstrate long-term employment (minimum of 3 years with previous employers preferred)
  • This role requires extensive technical training and attention to detail—long-term commitment is essential
