Pay Rate: $75,000/yr. - $80,000/yr.
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Scheduler to develop and maintain production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating materials, labor, and machine capacity to ensure on-time delivery while maintaining efficiency and cost control. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate effectively across departments, and experience working with production planning systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain paper and electronic production schedules for all equipment.
- Monitor customer due dates, manufacturing efficiency, and raw material availability.
- Make informed decisions regarding semi-finished stock availability for finished goods production.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, customer service, sales, and purchasing teams to communicate schedule updates and changes.
- Monitor labor requirements, production demand, and machine constraints.
- Review and ensure accuracy of all issued work orders.
- Coordinate and communicate internal and external trial activities.
- Negotiate and maintain freight contracts and assist in resolving freight damage or carrier issues.
- Support and implement ISO 9002 procedures.
- Enforce and promote workplace safety standards.
- Read and interpret work orders to ensure production and shipping deadlines are met.
- Perform backup duties for related roles as needed.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Relevant experience in scheduling, production planning, or manufacturing operations preferred.
- Working knowledge of equipment capabilities, production constraints, and material handling procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret specification sheets and work orders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required) and database software.
- Strong arithmetic and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality systems.
- Experience with ERP or production planning systems.
