Senior Accountant

Everstaff is seeking a Senior Accountant for a reputable manufacturing company in the Chardon area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To accurately and timely prepare financial reports, perform account reconciliations, maintaingeneral ledger, and analyze variable costs.

-Ensure Accurate Reporting: Ensure all accounting information and reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP.
- Daily Cash Management: Handle daily cash balancing and forecasting, and provide management recommendations.
- Transactional and General Accounting: Manage all transactional and general accounting entries, including accrual and prepaid balancing.
- Ledger Account Analysis: Perform general and subsidiary ledger account analysis for all balance sheet accounts, including adjusting entries.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct research and analysis of standard costs and variances, providing recommendations and maintenance.
- Inventory Accounting: Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle count management and maintenance.
- Tax Responsibilities: Maintain, calculate, report, and issue tax information, covering local tax, CAT tax, annual franchise tax, and annual 1099s.
- Confidentiality and Compliance: Protect the company’s value by maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal requirements.
- Quality Policy Adherence: Follow the Quality Policy and established procedures and guidelines as required by ISO9001 standards. Seek continuous process improvement.

Experiences, Competencies, Skills, and Education
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing.
- At least two years of experience in cost accounting.
- Proficiency in corporate finance.
- Advanced proficiency with integrated ERP/MRP software.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with financial reporting requirements.
