Job Description

Position Overview:
As a Network Administrator you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and implement technology solutions aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Configure and manage network devices and services, such as VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, and IP addressing, to support business requirements and security policies.
  • Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve connectivity, bandwidth, and latency issues.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control lists, to safeguard against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to assess network security posture and implement remediation measures as needed.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions in coordination with IT and business stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain accurate and up-to-date records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff, including troubleshooting network-related issues and conducting training sessions as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in network administration to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in network administration roles, preferably in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices from leading vendors, such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Aruba.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, technologies, and best practices, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Experience with network security concepts and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access control.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Industry certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent, are preferred.
