Job Title:  Service Mechanic
Pay Rate:  $20/hr. - $24/hr.
Shift:  1st

Job Summary
Responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of tank trailers and related components. This role involves welding, mechanical repair, system diagnostics, and adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure equipment meets operational and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair tank trailers and trailer components.
  • Perform welding and fit-up work using appropriate methods and materials.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, air, and hydraulic systems.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions to complete assignments accurately.
  • Repair or replace structural components, suspension systems, and braking systems.
  • Measure, cut, drill, and modify materials as required.
  • Install safety and compliance components, including reflective materials.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of tank trailer electrical, air, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools.
  • Understanding of safety practices and quality standards in an industrial environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators.
Work Environment
  • Work performed in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and mechanical hazards.
  • Compliance with all safety policies and procedures is required.
