Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving Specialist
Pay Rate:  $19/hr. - $22/hr.
Hours:  Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

Position Overview:
 The Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring warehouse organization, and maintaining cleanliness and operational efficiencies while adhering to corporate safety practices. This role involves preparing items for shipment, ensuring the accuracy and condition of shipments, and performing necessary administrative tasks such as purchasing, invoicing, and following up on orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely package and ship fragile equipment and instruments.
  • Receive and warehouse items, managing inventory using SAGE100.
  • Handle billing, purchasing, inventory transactions, and warehouse transfers in SAGE100.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Maintain knowledge of shipping regulations and routine inventory maintenance.
  • Conduct deliveries and pickups, maintain company vehicles, and manage customer site inventories.
  • Handle additional responsibilities such as ordering supplies, managing returns, and filing freight claims.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and experience with SAGE100 preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, provide excellent customer service, and work as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 70 pounds.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and lift heavy items.
  • Ability to read and interpret various documents and perform basic mathematical operations.
  • Work primarily in a quiet warehouse environment with some exposure to equipment and machinery.

Workplace Environment:
The position involves working in a warehouse setting with a generally quiet noise level. It requires adherence to safety rules and operating procedures.
