Details:
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8am to 5pm (On-Site)
Annual Salary: up to 75k annually DOE.

Job Purpose:
The role of the Software Quality Assurance Analyst involves developing and implementing test plans and cases to maintain quality assurance standards within the IT department. Responsibilities include supporting various testing areas such as functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end acceptance testing. This position requires proficiency in core testing concepts like requirements analysis, test plan formulation, negative scenario testing, and exploratory testing, with a focus on addressing complex scenarios through analytical and problem-solving skills. Collaboration within a cross-functional Agile team is essential for achieving common objectives within specified timeframes.
Ideal candidates excel in fast-paced environments, value continual learning, and thrive on collaborative teamwork. Utilizing experience and judgment, they strategize and achieve goals within set deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain testing deliverables, including testing approaches, test cases, scripts, and result summaries, following industry best practices.
- Conduct system and application testing to ensure functionality and compliance with standards.
- Perform manual backend testing to validate functionality per requirements.
- Maintain accurate testing documentation, including test cases and defect logging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, formulate comprehensive test plans, manage testing efforts, confirm product specifications, and communicate testing progress and relevant information to stakeholders and management.
- Support internal and external stakeholders with user acceptance and integration testing.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Advocate quality assurance best practices across project teams.
- Assist with testing requirements for key initiatives or special projects as they arise.
- Collaborate with QA team members and Director to identify, design, or enhance areas where testing efforts could be streamlined through automation or tool creation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of software quality assurance experience with an emphasis on manual backend database testing.
- Proficiency in using SQL to formulate and execute complex queries.
- Results-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills across all organizational levels, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Well-organized with the capacity to manage multiple assignments concurrently while meeting deadlines and quality requirements.
- Demonstrates resilience to rapid change and effectively adapts to and manages change.
- Analytical mindset with creative problem-solving skills, particularly in unraveling ambiguous problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience testing applications developed using Microsoft .NET C#, VB.NET, VB6, and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodology.
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related field is advantageous.
