Job Description

As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our organization's servers, networks, and related systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and implement technology solutions that align with organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and software applications to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with security policies and best practices.
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard data integrity and mitigate risks.
  • Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Install and maintain security patches, updates, and antivirus software to protect against security vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and implement system enhancements.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, including training and knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in system administration to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
 Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration roles, preferably in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Industry certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), are desirable.
