Job Description

Everstaff is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Payroll Specialist to support our payroll operations during a critical period. The ideal candidate will have experience with multi-state payroll, end-of-year reconciliations, and payroll-to-accounting processes, while also assisting with ad-hoc payroll projects. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
 
Temporary Opportunity!
Pay Range: $25-$30/hr
Location: Hudson, Ohio
Hybrid position
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll accurately and on time for employees across multiple states.
  • Perform end-of-year payroll reconciliations, including reviewing W-2s, 1099s, and related reports.
  • Ensure payroll flows accurately to accounting and coordinate with the finance team.
  • Support various payroll-related projects and process improvements as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports to identify discrepancies or trends.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment.
  • Strong understanding of payroll-to-accounting processes and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
