Job Description

Everstaff is seeking an experienced Worker's Compensation Case Manager (Paralegal) to support a growing and well-established law firm in North Carolina. 

This role involves managing claims, maintaining client communication, preparing legal documents, and ensuring case files are organized and up to date. 

The ideal candidate will have NC workers’ compensation law experience and a strong ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Salary: $50,000+
  • Direct Hire Opportunity
  • M-TH 8am-5pm, and Fridays 8am-4pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily case-related tasks using firm-approved software
  • Maintain proactive client communication and case follow-ups
  • Conduct routine case reviews and status updates
  • Prepare and submit legal forms, motions, and orders
  • Request, track, and analyze medical records
  • Document case details with precise and thorough notes
  • Coordinate medical evaluations and necessary appointments
  • Schedule depositions and interact with opposing counsel and case managers
  • Prepare and submit discovery responses
  • Draft and process settlement documents
  • Communicate with clients regarding settlement disbursements
  • Handle workers’ compensation billing inquiries and documentation
  • Prepare hearing documents and pretrial agreements
  • Maintain organized and accurate case files
  • Track claim decisions and responses to case developments
  • Request and follow up on liens and outstanding balances
  • Assist with financial reconciliations and expense tracking
  • Draft correspondence to opposing counsel and file documents via designated legal platforms

Advanced Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members
  • Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership

Requirements

  • North Carolina Law experience
